Scholarship Opportunity for SLTU Members

The St. Lucia Teachers’ Union (SLTU) is pleased to partner with Lynchburg College to provide opportunities for our members to further their education. One member of SLTU will receive one full scholarship from Lynchburg College to undertake undergraduate study at its St. Lucia Campus. The SLTU is currently accepting applications for this scholarship. All applications must reach the SLTU no later than May 9th, 2014. The eligibility requirements are as follows:
· The applicant must be a member of the SLTU.
· The applicant must gain full admission into an area of study in Education at Lynchburg College.
In order to complete the application process the applicant must:
· Show proof of acceptance into Lynchburg College Campus in St. Lucia.
· Complete a Lynchburg Scholarship Application Form.
· Submit an essay of not more than 1000 words or one page describing how the intended program will help the applicant achieve their personal goals and effect positive change within the SLTU and to education in St. Lucia.
· Submit a copy of their resume.
· Submit one letter of recommendation which makes reference to suitability of the applicant for the scholarship, relationship with the applicant and the length of time of that relationship.
