Subject: Leadership Workshop

Dear Comrades,
The National Executive has planned a workshop for all members of General Council and all Shop Stewards of the union. This workshop will be held under the theme “Understanding your Collective Agreement in preparation for a new round of Negotiations”. The workshop will take place on Friday, May 28th, 2010 starting at 9:00 am and will be held at the Civil Service Association Conference Center.
Members are reminded that a new round of negotiations will commence soon. All shop stewards are asked to meet with the teachers at their school to discuss issues they wish to be considered in the Collective Agreement for the period 2010 – 2013. These issues are to be tabled at this workshop for consideration by the SLTU Negotiating Team. Further, Branch Representatives are asked to meet with their branches to also consider such issues at the branch level for further consideration at the workshop.
All members of General Council and Shop Stewards are asked to make special effort to attend.
